Out of the Acid
Well I was too impatient to wait until after my trip so I spent a few hours in the studio last night prepping these pieces. I have to say that the lines looked pretty good after pulling the backing off.. with one trilobite ring casualty.
It remains to see whether the linework in the silver band will withstand the beating it will receive to form it into a cuff. I'm using much thicker metal this time so the force needed to turn the slab into a cuff is far greater - which might wipe out the detail of the etch. There's only one way to find out!
